Hey everyone! My name is Still Dixon and I’m a senior English major from Winston-Salem. My obsession with literature, books, words, and reading is total. So much so, that I’m in the middle of figuring out how to stay a student for as long as possible before entering the real world: I have about a dozen English doctoral and master’s applications out at the moment, so I’ll hear back soon whether I’ll be able to read books and ignore bills for the next ten years of my life! In the meantime, you can find me in the library chipping away at an honor’s thesis. Very nerdy stuff, but if you’re interested: I’m looking at the role of domestic space (rooms, houses, closets, and hallways) in the novels of Virginia Woolf, and how she uses architectural space to represent our cognitive processes. And today’s her birthday! But if I could study anything else, it’d be art and art history. So if anyone wants to go on an Ackland outing together, let me know!
